Prosecutors have filed criminal charges against a Mt. Lebanon attorney accused of taking $2,500 in fees from a client and then failing to show up to represent him.
Edward Larry Kovel, 58, was charged with theft yesterday. He is accused of showing up late and smelling of alcohol for a Jan. 21 court case.
