Lincoln-Lemington Man Pleads Guilty to Murder of a Minister

Summary


A Lincoln-Lemington man pleaded guilty Monday to third-degree murder and was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison for fatally shooting a minister who was working as a jitney.

Reuben Henry, 20, shot and killed Nzubamunu Mitete, 51, on Montezuma Street in Lincoln-Lemington. Henry was planning to rob Mitete when the minister grabbed the gun and it went off, according to a police affidavit filed after the shooting, which occurred Dec. 20, 2005.
