Summary
When it comes to Philippe Petit, a walk through New York City never has been more breathtaking. With his head in the clouds, the Frenchman accomplished the unthinkable -- even by Big Apple standards -- more than 34 years ago. His accomplishment is captured magnificently in "Man on Wire."
Directed by James Marsh, this documentary closely follows Petit's illegal high-wire jaunt between the two World Trade Center buildings in the morning hours of Aug. 7, 1974. While the eventual act is the pay off, it's the planning and preparation that lays the groundwork for this great film on what some have called the artistic crime of the century.See the full content of this document
