Detroit Man Pleads to About $120,000 in Credit Card Fraud

A Detroit man pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to helping steal almost $120,000 from stores in Ohio and Pennsylvania using counterfeited, re-encoded credit cards.

James Lewis Reynolds Jr., 24, and several others traveled from Michigan in early 2009 to use the credit cards to buy retail store gift cards at several Giant Eagle stores, prosecutors said. Police arrested the group in Cranberry in August 2009 and found the counterfeited credit cards and a device used to make them.
