Whenever Eric Harris is fatigued during early morning sprints or absorbs a sharp jab to the chin, he can recall how difficult his days used to be.

"Boxing changed my life," he said. "This keeps me off the streets and off the corner. Without it, I'd probably be dead or in jail right now. This is the best thing that happened to me."
