More Employees Getting Involved in 401(K) Plans

It's time for a pat on the back - at least for investors who are taking advantage of their company's 401(k) retirement plans.

About 36 percent of workers with less than one year of tenure participated in a 401(k) plan in 2005. That's an increase of 6 percent from the prior year, according to a new study by the human resource company Hewitt Associates.
