Kiski (6-4) made a strong bid for an upset in Allegheny Valley Rifle League action last week, but fell just short of beating Murrysville (9-0), falling 1174-1171.
Kittanning (8-1) easily beat Tarentum (2-7), 1177-1101, while Fort Hand (1-8) picked up its first win of the year by edging Crowfoot (2-8), 1164-1160.In the B-team standings, Kiski stands alone atop the standings at 8-2, followed by Murrysville and Kittanning, both at 7-2, Crowfoot at 5-5, Tarentum at 1-8 and Fort Hand at 0-9.Sherwin McConnell of Kittanning posted the week's high score, a 299.
