A man from Youngtown, Ohio, was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Wheeling to 15 1/2 years in prison for three armed bank robberies, including one in which a gasoline can with nails attached to it was set afire as a diversion.
Darrell Nelson and Craig Womack set the gas can on fire on Sept. 1, 2007, on the bridge which spans the Ohio River between East Liverpool and Newell, W.Va., prosecutors said. Nelson then donned a Halloween mask and held up a bank in Newell, prosecutors said.See the full content of this document
