The executive director of one of Pittsburgh's financial oversight boards said today its members could approve City Council's request to transfer $250,000 to pay for an independent review of pension solutions by the end of the week.
"As long as everything is in order and they have the information to us by the end of the day, I don't see this going past Friday," said Henry Sciortino, executive director of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority, one of two state-picked boards that oversees the city's finances. The ICA and Act 47 Recovery Team on Monday said council needed their prior approval to transfer the money from accounts dating back to 1996 and declared council's transfer a violation of the law.See the full content of this document
