A state senator from Washington County says it is "frustrating" that one of two teenagers arrested for trying to rob him last fall has been acquitted at trial, but he accepts the verdict.

A Dauphin County jury took about 50 minutes on Wednesday to find Thomas Elwood-Sipes Evans II, 17, of Harrisburg, not guilty of robbery and conspiracy in connection with the attempted robbery of state Sen. Tim Solobay, D-Canonsburg, according to a staff member for Common Pleas Judge Richard A. Lewis, who presided over the case.
