Penn Hills Man Pleads Guilty to Hit-Run Death

Summary


A Penn Hills man pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges in the hit- and-run death of a University of Pittsburgh sophomore who for reasons still unknown was walking on the Parkway East about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 1, 2007.

Judah Simon, 30, will be incarcerated for one to two years under a plea agreement reached with Allegheny County prosecutors. Common Pleas Judge Anthony M. Mariani will decide March 10 whether Simon spends the time in the county jail or in a halfway house.
