After his removal from the list of candidates to be the next Pirates manager, Dale Sveum signed a two-year contract to return as Milwaukee Brewers hitting coach.
The Pirates told Sveum over the weekend he was no longer being considered for the job. Sveum has worked the past five years for the Brewers as hitting coach, third base coach and bench coach.
