Pittsburgh Ballet Keeps 'Cinderella' Fresh

Summary


No matter how familiar the plot, gifted storytellers find ways to keep it fresh. Septime Webre certainly does in his version of "Cinderella," which Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre presented over the weekend at the Benedum Center.

Webre's staging was clear and effective, with a strong emphasis on comedy. The costumes were outstanding -- diverse in color and style and not stinting on glamour for the ball.
