Pointing of Toy Guns Spurs Lockdown in Clairton

Summary


A 12-year-old boy pointed fake guns at the Clairton Education Center on Wednesday, prompting school officials to lock down the campus for nearly two hours.

Clairton police Chief Robert Hoffman said the child, whose name he did not release, faces charges that include making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. The boy is not a student in the district, Superintendent Lucille Abellonio said.
