Colin McNickle's column "More artifices of 'green'" (Aug. 14 and TribLIVE.com) denigrated GE Lighting for wanting to inform the public about changes they'll find in the lighting aisle at retail stores when lighting energy standards begin to take effect.
Mr. McNickle called our offer to discuss options to incandescent bulbs "shilling for the benefits of" non-incandescent options. He's wrong. Through research, we know most consumers are unaware of how the new energy standards affect lighting choices. We are attempting to educate the public.See the full content of this document
