Summary
Maurkice Pouncey didn't practice Thursday as the Steelers went through their second day of workouts at TCU, but the rookie Pro Bowl center is gradually feeling better. He was without the walking boot on his injured left ankle for the first time in nearly two weeks. "I can walk around, so I feel pretty good about that," he said. "I am wearing a regular tennis shoe and only wearing the boot at night for safety." Pouncey said he is going to try to practice today, when the Steelers hold their final full practice before Super Bowl XLV. They also have a light walkthrough scheduled for Saturday, but it is still highly unlikely he will play. "It's getting to be the witching hour for Maurkice," coach Mike Tomlin said.
The only players on the Steelers' injury report are Pouncey and defensive end Aaron Smith, who was limited for the second consecutive day.See the full content of this document
