A state inmate was sentenced today to nearly 12 years in federal prison for assaulting two deputy U.S. Marshals.
Andre L. Jacobs, 24, formerly of Harrisburg, attacked the marshals in March 2005 inside a 9th floor elevator at the federal courthouse, Downtown. After a jury ruled against Jacobs in a civil trial, the inmate struck one marshal with his handcuffs and grabbed the other marshal. The first marshal suffered ligament damage to his wrist, which required surgery.See the full content of this document
