When most people think "mosaic," the glass-tiled coffee tables and craft projects of the 1960s and '70s likely come to mind. But this archaic art form is undergoing yet another Renaissance. And local artist Rachel Sager is very much a part of it.

The Belle Vernon, Fayette County, native was one of two Americans whose mosaic art was accepted into the prestigious Prix Piccassiette, an international juried exhibit of mosaic art in Chartres, France, in October.
