Summary
Pittsburgh's industrial vacancy rate stayed at 7.4 percent in the third quarter, the same as the end of the second quarter. Although net space leased reached 66,495 square feet, vacant sublease space increased to 98,212 square feet, according to CoStar's Third Quarter 2011 Market Report. Respironics Inc. moved into 77,980 square feet at 1592 Roseytown Road, Greensburg, and National Oilwell Varco Inc. moved into 57,151 square feet at 55 Hickory St., Washington. Rental rates for industrial space ended the third quarter at $4.99 per square foot. Buildings opened during the quarter added 34,209 square feet, and 251,788 square feet was under construction at the end of September.
The McKeesport Housing Authority dedicated its Yester Square Recreation Center for residents of Crawford Village to State Sen. Jim Brewster, former McKeesport mayor. The facility has community space, laundry facilities and a new YMCA fitness center.See the full content of this document
