A $4.4 million project to improve a portion of Route 65 in Beaver County is scheduled to begin today, PennDOT said.

Work will be done on more than 9 miles between the Allegheny County line and Route 18 near the Beaver-Rochester Bridge. It will include road repairs and improvements to traffic signals, guardrails and signs.
