Regional Trail Corp. is asking McKeesport officials to hold back plans for two-way traffic on Fifth Avenue in order to provide a better link between the Steel Valley and Youghiogheny River trails.

With increased use of local sections of the Great Allegheny Passage a 150-mile trail that when connected with the C&O Canal Towpath at Cumberland, Md., forms a 334.5-mile bike route between Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C. cyclists are looking for more safety and less confusion as they pass through McKeesport.
