Schenley Star Kane Commits to Duquesne

Summary


Deandre Kane, a 6-foot-3 guard who averaged 14.9 points per game as a junior last season for Schenley High School's state championship basketball team, has given Duquesne University a verbal commitment to play for the Dukes beginning in 2008-09.

Kane, named earlier this year to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review's 2007 Terrific Ten all-star team, is Duquesne coach Ron Everhart's first recruit for next season. Under NCAA rules, Kane cannot sign a binding letter of intent until November.
