Three recent student fights that injured teachers and resulted in arrests prompted the Allegheny County district attorney on Monday to assign detectives to Woodland Hills School District to determine whether gangs are responsible.
District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. said detectives from his office and the Violent Crime Firearms Task Force will work with local police departments to try to curtail school violence.
