Most work on the North Shore Connector likely will grind to a halt during September's Group of 20 Pittsburgh summit, but that should not have a major impact on the progress of the overall project, officials said Friday.
Final security determinations have not been made, but workers expect to clear bulldozers, diggers and other light equipment out of the Golden Triangle for the two-day meeting of world leaders, said Paul Zick, project director of North Shore Constructors, which has the contract to dig the tunnels under the Allegheny River.
