A little more than a decade ago, the land between Federal Street and Three Rivers Stadium on the North Side was a sea of asphalt and concrete. Save tailgate parties before Steelers and Pirates games, the area's main use was as a parking lot for commuters.

Today, that same parcel of land has an entirely different look and feel, not to mention a new name.

North Shore Evolves Into Entertainment Destination

The North Shore boasts two relatively new stadiums -- PNC Park and Heinz Field -- that bookend the area. High-end and casual restaurants -- Rivertowne North Shore, the Tilted Kilt , Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, McFaddens and Jerome Bettis Grille 36 -- provide options for dining and libations along the riverfront.
