North Side Man Pleads Guilty to Bank Fraud, Id Theft

A man from the city's Fineview neighborhood has pleaded guilty in federal court to bank fraud and aggravated identity theft.

Rasheed James, 37, who is serving a sentence on unrelated charges at the State Correctional Institution in Pittsburgh, admitted opening bank accounts at several financial institutions using fraudulently obtained identification cards, prosecutors said.
