A week after clinching a share of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West championship, Slippery Rock couldn't protect a 17- point first-half lead and lost, 33-27, to Gannon on Saturday.

Slippery Rock, ranked No. 19 in Division II, dropped to 8-2 overall and 6-1 in PSAC play. Slippery Rock led, 17-0, in the first half and, 20-7, at halftime. Gannon (4-6, 3-4) reeled off five straight scores to take the lead for good at 33-20.
