Summary
Question: I am planning on constructing a "raised vegetable garden" for the first time this year. My location has plenty of sun and no trees. I would like to use some leftover PVC pipe, bolted together, as my "garden border." Would this be acceptable? I am on a budget. What are the best dimensions to use? I have heard that you should not go more than 4 feet wide and 6 inches high.
Answer: Making a garden of any type is, most importantly, about the growing. What is best for the plants is the best solution. Therefore, if the soil is friable (crumbly), with nutrients, and well drained, you should be able to successfully have a magnificent flower garden, vegetable or even an herb garden in a bed.See the full content of this document
