Smoking Cited As Cause of New Florence House Fire

Summary

A state police fire marshal said smoking materials caused an accidental fire that damaged a New Florence home early Wednesday morning.

Trooper Jake Andolina said the fire started at 12:14 a.m. at the outside corner of a house owned by Adam E. Foust, 27, at 190 E. Tenth St., "where cigarette smoking was a common practice." Andolina said discarded cigarettes ignited combustibles outside the home and caught it on fire.
