Spat May Leave Butler County Community College Without Cash to Pay Bills

The county controller's refusal to release a $1.23 million appropriation to the Butler County Community College means the school will run out of money to pay its bills by June, college officials said Thursday.

The county commissioners voted unanimously this week to pursue a court order to force Controller Jack McMillin to release the first quarter of the $4.9 million allocation to the college. School Solicitor James Coulter said the college plans to sue McMillin.
