Summary
In addition to Max Starks, inside linebacker and special teams captain Clint Kriewaldt is out for the rest of the season with a neck injury. Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that the team will make a roster move to replace the ninth-year veteran. Return specialist Allen Rossum, meanwhile, is questionable for Saturday night's AFC wild-card game against the Jaguars because of a hamstring injury. If Rossum does not play, Tomlin said, running back Najeh Davenport and wide receiver Cedrick Wilson would most likely return kickoffs and punts, respectively. Willie Reid would also be a candidate to return kickoffs, assuming the shoulder sprain he is nursing doesn't keep him out of the game, and Santonio Holmes could return punts, Tomlin said.
Ben Roethlisberger won't be limited in practice this week because of the sprained ankle he sustained in the Steelers' 41-24 win over the Rams on Dec. 20, Tomlin said. The Steelers didn't play Roethlisberger against the Ravens as a precaution.See the full content of this document
