Summary


The devastation left in Joplin, Mo., by the ferocious May 22 tornado has inspired a partnership between Westmoreland Community Action and the Greensburg Fire Department to aid victims.

Tay Waltenbaugh, Community Action's chief executive officer, said officials learned that the tornado impacted 25 employees of its sister agency in Joplin, the Economic Security Corporation of Southwest Area. Their homes were severely damaged or destroyed.
