Score one for common sense: The Obama administration is telling federal prosecutors, the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration to respect 14 states that have validated medical marijuana's capacity to relieve suffering by legalizing its use and sale.
New Justice Department guidelines rightly say that arresting people who use or provide medical marijuana in compliance with those 14 states' laws is not a good use of time or manpower.
