The U.S. Treasury Department said it will auction warrants on Thursday that it had received from PNC Financial Services Group Inc. in exchange for government aid from the Troubled Asset Relief Program.
The auction should raise about $253 million for Treasury, experts estimate, which is trying to recover as much taxpayer money as possible from the TARP program.
