Turnpike Bridge Bidding to Open in Sept.

Summary


The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission hopes to line up a contractor this fall to undertake the $140 million project to replace the bridge over the Allegheny River between Plum and Harmar.

The commission plans to open the project for bidders in September and select a contractor in November, commission spokesman Joe Agnello said. Construction could begin early next year.
