The news story "Economic sense of maintaining unused roadways, schools, bridges questioned" (July 17) by Tom Fontaine was misleading.
Mr. Fontaine wrote: "For 11 years, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission paid crews to maintain two miles of highway no one could use."
