Summary


The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is profoundly disappointed with the Trib's story "Transplanting too soon: Review casts pall on UPMC's live-donor liver transplants" (Nov. 23 and PghTrib.com).

It's clear the Trib's reporters had a hypothesis they are desperate to prove -- that their March 2008 series on liver transplants caused significant changes in how a specialty of medicine is practiced -- and they weren't going to allow themselves to be confused by reality.
