Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Juan Uribe's bloop single scored the game- winning run, as the Chicago White Sox edged the Seattle Mariners, 6-5 in 11 innings, in the opener of a brief two- game set at U.S. Cellular Field.

Pablo Ozuna homered and scored two runs and Joe Crede hit a grand slam for the White Sox, who have won five of their last six games. Bobby Jenks (1-0) threw 1 1/3 innings, yielding one hit for the win.
