One of the biggest challenges for Valley coach Troy Hill and his staff heading into camp was to fill out the offensive backfield.

Last season, senior Darwin Banks emerged as a big-play back, rushing for 845 yards including an astonishing 252 on his first 18 carries. Banks, who is now at West Liberty State, had help from surging fullback Ian Carline. But he, too, has graduated, leaving a pair of jobs open for a host of players.
