Volunteers Will See If City School Students Have Equal Access

Summary

A community advocacy group launched a new volunteer initiative this morning to research whether all middle and high school students in Pittsburgh Public Schools have equal access to a quality education.

A+ Schools' "School Works" program will allow volunteers to meet with principals to find out what staffing, training, coursework and other services need improved upon. Groups of three volunteers will sit down for one-on-one interviews with principals starting in mid- October.
