Summary


There's a tradition of musicians adopting onstage personas. David Bowie cast himself Ziggy Stardust and the Thin White Duke. Before he was Prince (and the infamous Symbol), Prince Nelson Rogers was just, well, Prince Nelson Rogers.

But Gene the Werewolf breaks new ground, at least in the Pittsburgh area. Bearded and donning sunglasses and a vintage '70s white suit, Gene -- who is actually Jon Belan from the band Punchline -- looks like the lead from a musical version of Anne Rice's "Interview With the Vampire."
