West Mifflin Area School District paid its former security director and his lawyer $65,000 to settle his civil rights and breach of contract lawsuit, according to a settlement document released today by the district.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review filed a request under the state Right to Know law for the document after the board approved the settlement, 5-4, at its Feb. 17 meeting.
