Almost $9 million has been raised to renovate the Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing and make other improvements, West Penn hospital announced this morning.
The Western Pennsylvania Hospital Foundation's "Touching Tomorrow" capital campaign will use $6 million to make structural improvements to the interior and exterior of the Bloomfield hospital's nursing school, which has tripled enrollment since 2002 to 141 students. In 2006 it became the first and only hospital in Western Pennsylvania to receive the prestigious designation as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.See the full content of this document
