Splash out at Soak City, an 18-acre waterpark adjacent to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio. The park, which charges separate admission from Cedar Point, lets kids and adults indulge their love of the wet stuff. The Splash Zone is a multi-story interactive play area with more than 100 water gadgets designed to spray, squirt and drench guests. Breakers Bay is a half-million gallon wave pool that allows visitors to body surf or float in inner tubes. For kids, there's Tadpole Town and Choo-Choo Lagoon, while the Zoom Flume is a 76-foot-tall raft slide that shoots guests on a thrilling ride down plunging straightaways and high-banked turns.
Soak City, open through Labor Day, also has lockers, showers, food locations and private cabanas that guests can rent for the day. Operating hours will vary throughout the summer and proper swimwear is required. Admission is $28 for age 3 who are taller than 48 inches in bare feet, and $9.95 for those age 3 and older who are shorter than 48 inches in their bare feet, as well as for all senior citizens. Those age 2 and younger are admitted free. Admission to Cedar Point is not required.
