Leo McQuillan considered his 25-year career as a Wilkinsburg police officer to be a calling and a ministry to the residents he was called upon to protect.

Mr. McQuillan was particularly interested in children growing up in the community and was a founding member of the Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League, a nonprofit organization that provides young people with recreational, educational, cultural and social opportunities.
