Summary
In response to Mary Miskovish's letter "Don't advertise -- teach" (Nov. 29 and TribLIVE.com), I would like to point out that school boards decide if schools advertise. So, please, do not attack the teachers for something that is out of their jurisdiction.
I am a junior at Greensburg Salem High School, and I have been in public school for all of my education. Very few times have I actually watched a movie in school just to waste time. The only times I can recall were for special occasions, like for a reward or the day before we start our holiday breaks.
