HARRISBURG -- Dennis Yablonsky resigned Thursday as Gov. Ed Rendell's chief of economic development.

Yablonsky, of Mt. Lebanon, had served as secretary of the Department of Economic and Community Development since Rendell took office in 2003. Yablonsky headed the Act 47 recovery team overseeing Pittsburgh's finances after Rendell declared the city a financially distressed municipality in December 2003.
